Hour Site Activity Program
8:30 a.m. Hotel in Jerusalem Board the bus and begin with an introduction to the Shomron. Old and new challenges facing the Shomron: a review of its borders; inheritance of the sons of Jacob; your questions.
9:00 a.m. Binyamin Bus tour of area. View the inheritances of the Israelite tribes; travel by-pass roads around Palestinian areas; visit the site of the anointing of King Saul; visit Shilo-the home of the Tabernacle.
10:00 a.m. Elon Moreh Stand on the Mt. Kabir overlook. Stand at "Abraham's mountain," the Patriarch's first stop in the land of Israel; learn about "The Promise of the Land;" view the altar of Joshua.
11:30 a.m. Itamar Visit with local families. Tour an organic homestead (opportunity to taste!); meet with local victims of terror.
1:00 p.m. Mt. Grizim Tour of excavations and lookout point. Visit the Mount of the Blessing; visit archeological excavations; view Joseph's Tomb from look out point; meet local Samaritans.
2:30 p.m. Ariel Lunch Buffet lunch at the Eshel Hashomron Hotel and Biblical Garden.
3:30 p.m. Barkan Meeting with Benzi Lieberman, Mayor, Shomron Regional Council. Meet the mayor of the Shomron Regional Council and head of the YESHA Council and tour the Barkan Industrial Zone – the second largest in Israel.
4:30 p.m. Homesh Support visit to a small, isolated community. To strengthen and to be strengthened.
6 p.m. Return to Jerusalem Summary of the day. Roots, problems and progress toward solutions.
